the two piece rule

 Crop top – River Island | Skirt – H&M | Heels – Zara

A two-piece is like a jumpsuit, pretty much a ready-made outfit. It’s really hard for me to resist a good grab and go look, so I generally can’t resist a nice two-piece. My only problem is finding new ways to re-invent each piece separately. Together each piece generally makes a striking statement, but when you break them up, its hard to find the right colors to match, or the outfits ends up being unmemorable. To avoid this, as a rule I never buy a two-piece set if I’m not absolutely positive I have at least one other way to rock each piece (at least I try not to…nobody’s perfect ;)).

Luckily I was able to successfully apply my two-piece rule for this bright floral skirt outfit I got from H&M a few months back. I posted the full outfit on my Instagram (@kiitana) a couple of months ago and I loved it so much I knew I’d want to wear it again.  I’m all about color, I think brights go really well with my skin and…its summer ! As such, I wanted go bold and pair it with a vibrant orange crop top I snagged from River Island.  Rule applied. Outfit done. What do you guys think?
